Hopefully the 'Give a Donkey a Day Off' scheme will be able to raise enough money to build fencing for the paddock area so that we are able to accomodate the overflow of inpatients during busy times as well as our 'day off' donkeys. It would be great to see them all safely enjoying the outside space.
On Thursday a stork flew over ACE and delivered a very sweet baby donkey. The donkey's mother had died and the owners came to us for help and advice regarding feeding.
Nobody can keep away from the baby donkey-above is one of our volunteers feeding him and below is Hannah our vet completing checks and cuddles! We have found a t-shirt that fits to make sure he is warm and cosy at night.

I think the 'Day off' for donkeys is a grand idea. I have sent a donation for this very worthy cause.
The baby donkey is adorable.
Anne - you get to go to Egypt? Lucky you!
Just returned from Luxor, I am really impressed about the work. Stables are spotless, much better than many stables in UK. The patients are well cared by the staff.
I feel the funds are well used and it is worth donating to them.
I have seen this lovely baby donkey and he is really adorable!!
