Update....

Remember the poor little donkey that came in looking like this which we then operated on to stitch everything back together?

We are pleased to say we are delighted with his progress. The wound is contracting and a healthy bed of tissue has covered the wound, ready for new skin to grow across.

However, we have sadly had another case come in with a similar injury and a similar story - pulling a cart that was too heavy and as a result the donkey slipped and injured himself on the cart he was pulling. We have had a spate of these wounds recently as currently they have just started to collect the sugar cane, a time of year when the donkeys work even harder and pull even heavier loads.

That injury is really horrendous. I am SO glad that ACE is right there on the spot willing to give free care to these poor suffering animals.

Poor donkeys who are really exploited for carrying overloaded sugercane. Really shocking!
Instead of doing various tours with some intervals...
Probably they are not well fed either.
Because they do not talk like the way we do and they just keep working as they think it is their fate, owners do not realise or do not want to know that these animals are suffering. It is very sad...
Many thanks for Ace helping these poor animals...
