Flu

FINALLY!!!we have a partially working internet connection and the computer is (occasionally) behaving so here is an update...
The influenza outbreak means we are being kept busy with a steady stream of cases, below is a picture of one little donkey that came in to us very sick, as the owner had left him in the field for a few days before bringing him in to us. Sadly, despite our efforts he was sadly put to sleep later in the night. If only he'd have come to see us sooner.

This poor dog came in a few days ago with a horrible wound to his throat - sadly the cause of the injury is the owner levaing him tied up for too long and too tightly!!!When will these injuries of ignorance be a thing of the past!!!????

And to top it all off the owner has not returned with the dog for any follow up treatment!!!Grrrrrrrr!!!

The dog's wound is really horrendous. Yes, the same should be done to the owner as a lesson. The poor animal. Also, that poor sad donkey suffering in a field for days without treatment. I am glad that I make a monthly donation to ACE - seeing these pics makes me feel like I am making a small, but important, contribution to helping these animals.

I was in Karnak temple this week and saw two dogs one of whom looked like he could have done with seeing a vet. Are these dogs who hang around the temples owned or strays I wonder. It would be great if there could be some way that the dogs could be picked up and treated/neutered etc. There was a lovely bitch there too who looked like she'd recently had pups.I'm going to do some serious thinking about fund raising.

I feel so sorry for the poor donkey who had to suffer so much being left in the field with very high temperature etc.

I have hard understanding that owners can not think or feel that they are living creatures. They may not look similar to humans, but they are living creatures, same as humans.

I am so astonished the way people are overthere.

I know ACE is really working hard to rescue these poor aminals at the same time with education. I hope something will improve in a near future...
